Children across the school take part in a range of musical activities throughout the year. The aim is to provide equality of opportunity for every child to experience and share in a wide variety of music from different cultures and periods. Music is very much a part of the curriculum and class activities provide a variety of opportunities to develop musical ability. Singing practice – the whole school have singing practice weekly in the school hall.
Musical Instruments – Isis class have whole class instrumental lessons (including recorder, violin and cello) alternate years and this teaches the children to read music and to play an instrument. Children who have participated in whole class tuition will have the opportunity to learn an instrument in a small group via the County Music Service.

Isis and Thames usually take part in a play during the summer months.
